Founded in 2005, Halcyon Mobile is a software development company based in Romania specializing in mobile applications. Besides developing our own products, we offer mobile application development and consultancy services for the major mobile platforms including iPhone, Blackberry, Android, Windows Mobile and Symbian. Our clients reach from Fortune Global 500 companies to small companies and individuals wanting to launch their first iPhone or Blackberry application.
We were here before the iPhone: developing mobile applications for older and simpler mobile platforms like Java MIDP where the possibilities (both technical and economical) were limited. But then the iPhone revolutionized the mobile industry: as it came along together with other new mobile platforms, we quickly realized what great opportunities they bring for us and our clients. Our main area of focus is developing for the iPhone and Blackberry, but occasionally we are still interested in developing applications for the other important smartphone platforms too. What makes us different is our experience with multiple mobile platforms and that we understand that developing for mobile phones is different in many ways. Throughout the years we've learned that it poses unique challenges that can be overcome only through experience and hard work.
